The Platinum Wick has been scientifically engineered for use with Platinum Wick Oil to create the strongest and longest lingering fragrance experience possible!
The Platinum Wick combines catalytic broadcast strength with the fine fragrance definition of essential oil diffusion, instantly, without an open flame!
LIGHTING THE PLATINUM WICK ™:
1. Use funnel to fill lamp with catalytic Fragrance Oil™. Works best when 2/3rds full.
2. Insert cloth wick into lamp with wick assembly resting on lamp tier cap. (Figure1)
3. Allow cloth wick to absorb fuel. (10 minutes for first time use)
4. Place flame from lighter over perforations in wick assembly for 25-35 seconds.
If small flame appears wick is lit. Let small flame burn for a few seconds then gently blow it out. You will begin to smell fragrance and may see white puffs of vapor when lit. Repeat if necessary. (Figure1)
5. Cover wick with Crown Cap and enjoy. (Figure 2)
Lamp will not disperse fragrance while flame is lit. The wick may be extinguished or not light if operated directly in front of a fan or draft.EXTINGUISHING THE PLATINUM WICK ™:Caution: Caps may be hot, handle with care
1. Remove Crown Cap. (Figure 3)
2. Place Snuff Cap over wick seated on lamp Tier Cap. (Figure3)
3. Replace Crown Cap and enjoy as a decorative accessory. (Figure 2)
4. The wick will self extinguish if catalytic fragrance runs out.
SAFTEY PRECAUTIONS:1. When filling do not place on wooden furniture or painted surfaces. Use a saucer under lamp to prevent possible damage to furniture finishes.
2. Do not overfill. Wipe up any oil spills or drips before lighting the wick.
3. Place on flat, stable surface away from any other combustible materials.
4. Do not touch the wick as it is hot even though there is no flame.
5. Always cover the wick with Crown Cap when in use.
6. Never place caps on over any open flame.
7. Caps may get hot during operation. Handle all caps and wick with care.
8. Keep diffuser oil bottles sealed to avoid accidental spills.
9. Do not leave lamp unattended during operation
10. Keep lamp and oil out of reach of children and pets.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Cover wick with Snuff Cap to avoid evaporation of fragrance oil when not in use.
2. Do not remove cotton wick from burner assembly.
3. When changing oils lay cooled wick on paper towel and let air dry.
4. To extend wick life burn for 15-30 minutes per use. Avoid long burn times.
After extended use the Platinum Wick™ can be rejuvenated!
Soak entire wick assembly in rubbing alcohol overnight and enjoy
TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS:1. Your lamp is smoking.• Make sure you are not operating lamp in front of a fan or draft.
• Minimal puffs of white vapor, steam, may appear and are normal. This is a function of the catalytic fragrance oil not the Platinum Wick ™.
2. Your wick won’t light or stay lit.Make sure;
• Your oil level is at least ˝ full.
• You allow the cotton wick to soak for at least 10 minutes.
• You kept the open flame on the wick for at least 35 seconds and repeated procedure.
• You are not operating lamp in front of a fan or draft.
It may be time to clean your Platinum Wick™. Soak entire wick assembly in rubbing alcohol overnight and repeat lighting procedure.
3. You can’t smell fragrance. Make sure;
• The wick is lit and all open flames have been blown out.
• You rejuvenated your wick by soaking in rubbing alcohol overnight.
It may be time to replace your Platinum Wick ™
